Book Poudel’s killer: FNJ

Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) has condemned the murder of Jhapa based journalist Yadav Poudel and demanded action against the guilty and justice and relief to the family of the victim.

The FNJ has been grieved by the demise of Poudel, reads the press statement issued by FNJ General Secretary Om Sharma.

The FNJ has also expressed condolence to Poudel.

The emergency meeting held this morning formed a seven-member team to probe into the murder.

The team led by FNJ Chairman Shiva Gaule has advisor Poshan KC, secretary Jagat Nepal, Purbanchal coordinator Mohan Kaji, Jhapa department chairman Ganesh Pokharel, Jhapa departments former Chairman Govinda Chhetri and former secretary Taramani Sapkota as its members. They are due to leave for Jhapa in a while.

Meanwhile, the FNJ has decided to organise mourn session and protest assembly nationwide at 4 this afternoon.

The session will be held at Babarmahl in the Capital. The FNJ has urged all the journalist to attend the mourn session.
